What it actually is
Structural choices, concrete versus steel versus timber, get made before anyone's calculated what they cost in carbon. By the time it's measured, the design is already fixed. This assessment models the embodied carbon of your structural design while there's still time to change something.
It's modelled in One Click LCA directly against your drawings and bill of quantities, read the way a structural engineer reads them, not processed through a generic template.
What's included
Broken down by material and structural element, not just a single headline figure.
Structural choices compared against each other directly, so a decision can actually be made from the numbers.
Modelled to PAS 2080 and RICS Whole Life Carbon Assessment methodology throughout.
Written for the decision that needs making, not a generic sustainability summary.
How we work
A discovery call to understand what stage the project's at and what decision the assessment needs to support. You share drawings and the bill of quantities. The model's built, checked, and the report's walked through with you before it's used in a design review. Pricing is scoped on that first call, based on project size and drawing complexity.
Frequently asked
What stage does this work at?
Earlier is better, concept or early detailed design is where the assessment can still change what gets specified. It can be done later too, but the value is smaller once a decision's already locked in.
Does this affect planning approval?
It can support it, some local authorities and the GLA London Plan increasingly expect whole life carbon evidence, but this is the assessment itself, not a planning submission on your behalf.
What do you need from us to start?
Structural drawings and a bill of quantities at minimum. The more detailed the drawings, the more precise the model.
